Perm links

Login to your Word press admin panel and click on settings. There you can see the option of perm links. Set perm link to custom settings like this www.yoursitename.com/post-title/. Without date and month. This will highly increase your rankings.

Tag line and title

In general settings tab, there is an option to change the title and tag line. Make the title as the url of your site and tagline must contain the points about what your site is.

Meta keywords

Go to appearance and click on editor. There you will see many links in right side bar including header and footer. Click on header and place Meta keywords tags. Right below this line

Posts tags

While creating the new posts or editing old posts, there is an option to put posts tags. Copy your post title and paste the whole title in posts tags box and add it. Putting keywords in posts tags is not that helpful as the title is.

Right below the post box, there is an excerpt box. Write the description of your blog in that blog. Description must contain important points of your posts.

Categories

Make categories of all your posts with related keywords. It will display all the related posts in search engine when one of the posts is searched.

SEO plugging

Install all in one SEO pack plug-in by searching from add new plug-in link in plug-ins tab. This plug-in will allow you to put keywords in header automatically, will put different keywords and description for each post and will use categories and tags as keywords. Advantage of optimizing each post with different description and keywords tags is that you have created virtual site of each post. If you get 1 visitor per day by putting keywords only in header than by putting keywords in each post, you will get as many visitors as many posts you do have.
